Appeal after assault

A man has suffered a serious head injury in an assault in Staffordshire.

Officers were called to a bus stop on Stafford Road in Stone following reports of violence in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

Two unknown men had reportedly punched the victim in the face and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Staffordshire Police has appealed to the public for information and urged anyone who saw what happened or who has video footage to get in touch.
