Appeal to save 54 year old charity
An appeal has been launched to support the Beth Johnson Foundation, a charity which could face closure this summer after 54 years.
Founded in 1972 and named after a local nurse and red cross volunteer, the charity has supported the elderly across the area with support through bereavement, dementia, isolation and the challenges of later life.
The foundation has relied on core funding to deliver its activities which has now been withdrawn and with no replacement secured they face closure in August. They’re calling for financial support from individuals, businesses and organisations with sponsorship or help to spread the word about their invaluable work.
