Armed Forces commemorated in Crewe

Residents, businesses, and visitors are warmly invited to come together to mark the start of Armed Forces Week with a special flag-raising ceremony at Memorial Square in Crewe.

The Armed Forces Day flag will be raised at 10am in Crewe tomorrow in a visible show of support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, including currently serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families. 

The Royal British Legion Crewe along with other military groups and charities will come together from 9.45am that morning.

Attendees will witness the official raising of the flag on Memorial Square in Crewe opposite the Municipal Buildings, marking the beginning of a week of recognition across the country leading up to Armed Forces Day.
