Arrest after Newcaste-under-Lyme Stabbing

A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Police were called at 7.05am on Thursday to Silverdale Road following reports that a man had been stabbed.

The victim, a man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 25-year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and we understand the injured man and the man arrested are known to each other.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information that might help the investigation to contact them.
