Arrests after murder in Burntwood

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in Burntwood this morning.

Police were called to Hazel Grove shortly before 9am following reports of two men fighting. Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A man was found with significant injuries at the scene. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead shortly after 10am.

A dog was also found inside the house with suspected stab wounds and has been taken to a vet for treatment.

Police have put a cordon in place at the home and officers have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Two men, aged 32 and 27, and a woman, aged 33, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
