Artisan market expands to neighbouring town

A well‑known Staffordshire artisan market is set to expand this month with the launch of a brand‑new event in Stone.

The team behind the popular Castle Artisan Market in Newcastle-under-Lyme has announced plans to open a Stone market in this weekend bringing its mix of independent traders, handmade goods and local produce to a new audience.

Organisers Castle Artisan Events say the move follows growing demand from visitors and stallholders for additional market opportunities across the county. The first event in Stone will be a trial, and if it proves popular enough, could become a regular market in the town.

The first Stone Artisan Market, takes place on Saturday, between 10am and 3pm along Stone High Street. It is being organised in partnership with Stone Town Council.
