Borough residents to have their say on open spaces

Residents still have a week to have their say on how green spaces across Newcastle-

under-Lyme are managed in the future.

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is carrying out a consultation as part of a review of its Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covering parks and open spaces.

The existing order, which expires in November, gives the Council additional powers to tackle specific problems affecting residents’ quality of life at 211 locations across the borough, including Brampton Park, Kidsgrove Memorial Gardens, Queens Gardens, Silverdale Cemetery and Station Walks.

The Council is considering restrictions relating to alcohol, dog fouling, dog control, temporary structures and other forms of anti-social behaviour.

Residents can take part in the consultation until Thursday, 1 October.
