Breast cancer detection rates above national average
As breast cancer awareness month comes to an end people across the county are being reminded of the value of detecting breast cancer as quickly as possible.
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are beating the national average for finding breast cancer at an early stage with 83.14% of breast cancers in the area being found at stage 1 or 2 between January and May 2026.
The current goal is 75% of cancers to be found in either stage 1 or stage 2 by 2028.
