Burslem mum accepts sons truancy due to attack at school.

A mum told magistrates she was to blame for her son's failure to attend school regularly - and she wanted him to be safe after he was attacked by a group of fellow students. The Burslem mum, who has not been named to protect the identity of her son, was fined £80 at North Staffordshire Justice Centre after she admitted failing to ensure the teenager attended school regularly over a four-month period in 2025.
