Chairman returns to SMDC after a quarter of a century

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has a new Chairman and Vice Chair after councillors elected to both roles at their Annual Council meeting..

The new Chairman, Councillor Linda Malyon who becomes Staffordshire Moorlands' First Citizen, represents Ipstones Ward. She was formerly Vice Chair and was previously Chairman of the Council in 2000/01.

Councillor Malyon announced her chosen charities for her year in office would be Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes; the County Air Ambulance Trust HELP Appeal and the Fire Fighters Charity.
