Charity opens up temporary shop
A charity has opened a temporary pop-up shop after urgent floor repairs forced its Whitchurch town centre store to close. Severn Hospice’s shop managers discovered earlier this year that the building’s floor needed extensive and immediate repairs.
This meant the shop had to close while essential work was carried out. The closure threatened valuable income for the hospice and prevented customers from buying goods or making donations.Local partners have helped the charity secure temporary premises a short distance from the original shop in the former Lukes cafe store.
