Cordon remains in place after death of man in fire

The body of a man in his 60’s has been found after a house fire in Cheshire.

Police and the fire service were called to the blaze on Welsh Row, Nantwich, on Tuesday evening.

Cheshire Police said the death of the man was being treated as unexplained and his next of kin have been informed. A cordon remains in place at the scene while an investigation into the cause of the fire is carried out.
