Council leader calls on government to halt local plan

The leader of Newcastle under lyme borough council, Jonathan Gullis, is calling on the government to delay plans for them to start work on a new local plan. The council is currently awaiting a decision on local government organisation which could see the borough being abolished and as such, councillor hours and taxpayers money would be wasted.
