Councillors applaud decision to halt LGR

Councillors across Staffordshire have welcomed the governments decision to put on hold the plans for local government reorganisation from 10 councils to two unitary authorities. Staffordshire is amongst a number of decisions across the country which have been put on hold after some councils had decided to take legal action against the outcomes. Money has already been spent looking ahead to the re-orgaisation but all local councils in the County have welcomed the news.
