Crewe day returns to South Cheshire
A reimagined Stephenson's Rocket steam train, giant elephants and a community parade featuring local groups and performers will take over Crewe town centre when Crewe Day returns tomorrow..
The free event, running from 12pm to 6pm, will bring together residents, businesses, community organisations and visitors for an afternoon celebrating the town's heritage, engineering legacy and community spirit.
Organised by Crewe Town Council with support from Crewe BID and Discover Crewe, the annual event marks the anniversary of the first trains passing through Crewe railway station on 4 July, 1837.
