David Walliams attraction closes permanently

Alton Towers has announced that The World of David Walliams attraction will be permanently closed.

The Staffordshire theme park section opened in 2021 and featured rides based on Walliams' children's books.

Rides at the attraction included Gangsta Granny: The Ride, Raj's Bouncy Bottom Burp and the Royal Carousel.

It comes as part of the theme park's annual planning process.

Plans for the future use of the area will be announced once they are confirmed.
