Drive thru proposed for tourist attraction

A Starbucks drive-thru proposed for a North Staffordshire tourist attraction could create up to 20 new jobs – but concerns have been raised about increased traffic and loss of parking spaces.

Trentham Leisure has earmarked the new coffee shop for part of Trentham Estate's car park to the south of Premier Inn.

A planning application submitted to Stafford Borough Council stated that up to 20 full time equivalent jobs were set to be created and the proposed opening hours for the drive thru would be 6am to 10pm each day.

A statement of community involvement revealed that more than 900 people gave feedback to a two-week public consultation held in the spring with Swynnerton Parish Council objectingto the application
