Fire chiefs warn of the danger of open water

Fire chiefs have issued a warning of heading into open water after a child became 'stranded' in a lake at a city park. Three fire engines and paramedics were sent to Hanley Park at the start of the school break. The child was successfully rescued and given medical treatment by paramedics. Now firefighters involved in the rescue have urged people not to try to cool off in open water.
