Fire crews welcome ban on disposable barbeques

Fire and rescue services across our area have welcomed the temporary national ban on the sale of disposable barbecues as they continue to experience unprecedented demand across crews Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire. 

Crews in the city battled more fires overnight in the nature reserve at Ford Green and close to Ball Green estate. Meanwhile a number of families continue to live in emergency accommodation after a fire in Goldenhill for which two people have been arrested
