Formal recognition of service

More than 190 years of combined public service to the people of Newcastle-under-Lyme has been formally recognised as Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council has appointed 11 former long-serving councillors as Honorary Aldermen. The 11 nominees have made notable contributions to both the borough council and the wider community, typically serving for at least 12 years and holding positions of significance such as Mayor, Cabinet member, committee chair or group leader.
