Former college lecturer takes to the helm

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group  has announced the appointment of Shelley Brown as Principal and Chief Executive.

Shelley will step-up from her current position as Deputy Principal from january as current Principal and Chief Executive Craig Hodgson retires at the end of this year.

Having joined the old Newcastle-under-Lyme College as an hourly-paid Lecturer in 2003, she has since held numerous management roles at different levels within the Ofsted Outstanding NSCG.

Most recently, Shelley held the position of Deputy Principal for the organisation, which boasts 12,000 learners and a £58M income.
