Former offender sentenced to more time in jail
A Stoke-on-Trent man, who previously served a prison sentence for child sexual offences, has been jailed after failing to comply with his register requirements.
Mark Sproston, aged 51, of Smallthorne, was sentenced to two-years-and-eight-months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after he admitted two counts of sex offenders register – failing to comply with notification requirements.
Sproston was arrested in May last year after officers responded to intelligence that he was staying at an address with children inside.
He was banned from doing this as part of his Sex Offenders Register requirements.
