Fundraiser launched in memory of teenager

A fundraiser has been launched in memory of a Crewe teenager, after police recovered a body from Pickmere Lake near Northwich. 

Cheshire Police were called to the lake following reports of a missing 17-year-old boy who was last seen in the water. 

Emergency services, including the police helicopter, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and specialist underwater search teams, carried out extensive searches of the area and later confirmed a body had been recovered from the lake, with his death not being treated as suspicious. The teenager has been named as David-Junior Tita, from Crewe. 

A Just giving page has now been set up to support his family with funeral costs.
