Gardeners celebrated in allotment competition

Gardeners from across Stoke-on-Trent were celebrated at the city's annual allotment competition.

Award ceremonies were held at Dolly's Lane in Burslem and FenPark Hilltop on Saturday 22 August, to recognise the achievement of allotment holders from across 28 sites throughout the growing season.

The annual competition includes categories such as best allotment, best tomato and best cucumber.

Winners were gifted an allotment mug designed by Moorland Pottery and presented by founder Jon Plant
