Historical sex offences investigated at gym

A man has been arrested as part of a police investigation into allegations of historical sexual abuse linked to a gym in Cheshire.

The case is associated with Crewe and Nantwich Gymnastics on Camm Street in Crewe, Cheshire Police said. The complaints pertained to a period in the 1980s and 1990s, a force spokesperson added, and did not involve the current team working there.

A 68-year-old man held on suspicion of indecent assault of a girl under 14 has since been released on conditional bail.
