Interim chief exec salary declared

Cheshire East's new interim chief executive who started this week is costing the council £1,500 a day.

 Paul Walker has been appointed to the role until a new permanent top boss can be recruited.

The agenda papers to the meeting of full council failed to mention the pay but members were referred to the papers which stated the annual budget for the chief exec role is £253,440 prior to being informed of the interim day rate cost.
