M6 shut for hours after fatal crash
A man has died and two others were taken to hospital after a crash between three lorries and a car on the M6.
The crash was on the northbound carriageway between junction 15 and 16, yesterday morning.
The southbound carriageway was closed but reopened later in the day - the northbound carriageway remained shut into the evening.
The car driver was in a critical condition and died at the scene.
A second man, a driver of one of the HGV, was found in a serious condition and was given specialist trauma care before being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
A third man, also a driver of an HGV, was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to the same hospital.
