Man accused of rape denies charges

A Staffordshire man accused of raping a woman has denied the allegation.

The charge relates to an alleged offence in Stafford between 24 November 2015 and 1 September 2017. 

48-year-old, Stuart Haycock, from Stafford was released on bail until a trial in May 2028 which has been allocated seven days.

His lawyer said the defendant had "no sexual contact whatsoever" with his accuser.
