Man arrested on suspicion of murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a flat in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Oakwell Court on Oakwell Grove yesterday morning where they discovered the body of a women in her 20s.

The 30-year-old suspect, from Stoke-on-Trent, remains in custody. A cordon remains at the scene where there is to be an increased presence as officers gather evidence and provide reassurance to the community.
