Man jailed for assault

A man has been jailed for three years after admitting assaulting a man in the street in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

28 year old Kyle Stonier from Newcastle pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in February 2023, though he initially denied the offence.

The victim, a man in his 50s, had been leaving a nightclub on Hassell Street to get a taxi when he was assaulted.
