Men charged after Longton stabbings
Two men have been charged after two other men were stabbed in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
Aldo Hala, 22, of Goldenhill, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with two counts of Section 18 – wounding, one count of violent disorder and one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Konstandin Kola, 28, of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with two counts of Section 18 – wounding with intent, one count of violent disorder, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
It comes after we were called to The Strand at 11.45am on Saturday (6 June), following a report of a group of people fighting with weapons in the street.
Two men who were injured in the incident were taken to hospital. They remain there in a stable condition today (Monday 8 June).
Hala and Kola are both due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today.
A 26-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, has since been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
