New Keele University Chancellor announced.

The chair of Port Vale FC has been confirmed as Keele University's new chancellor.

Carol Shanahan will become the first woman to do so since Princess Margaret held the position. She will take over from Lord James Timpson, who stepped down after being appointed the government's prisons minister.
