New SEND school in Stoke on Trent

A £11.5m school expansion has created spaces for 70 children with special educational needs or disabilities.

The new complex, at Watermill School in Stoke-on-Trent, has been funded by the city council's Schools Capital Programme,

The local authority said the building would help "meet growing demand across the city" and allow more children to go to school close to home.

The building is due to open on Monday, and over the next few weeks pupils will be enrolled at the new, two-storey learning facility.

The new facility has been constructed on Turnhurst Road, in Packmoor, and will be known as Watermill Brindley
