New vehicles to tackle crime

Police have added a new type of vehicle to theirfleet as part of ongoing work to tackle vehicle-related crime and anti-social behaviour.

Jointly funded by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, as part of Operation Transom, the first two Stark Varg electric motorbikes are already being used across Stoke-on-Trent.

The bikes will be used alongside the National Police Air Service helicopter, drones and an existing fleet of petrol-powered motorbikes and cars to combat the illegal use of off-road vehicles.
