Officers granted extra time to question teenager.

Detectives investigating an attempted murder in Stafford have been granted extra time to question the teenager in custody.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday evening.

Officers continue their extensive enquires following the attack a week ago.

The victim, a man in his 60s, remains in a critical but stable condition and his family are being supported by specialist officers.
