Plans for 200 homes in Staffordshire countryside

Plans have been put forward to build more than 200 homes in the Staffordshire countryside.

The outline application for Fisherwick Road, on the outskirts of Whittington, east of Lichfield, has been submitted by developers.

Under the proposals, a 230-home estate with public open space, access roads and other infrastructure would be built.

The application is expected to be considered by planners at Lichfield District Council at a later date.
