Police appeal to identify two men who are thought to have been behind an attack in Stafford
Images of two men have been issued by police after a man was badly hurt in an unprovoked attack at a railway station during the Bank Holiday weekend.
The victim, aged in his 60s, was on a day out with his family on Sunday when he went to use the toilet at the station in Stafford around ten o’clock in the evening.
British Transport Police said two men made comments towards the victim before they repeatedly punched him, causing him to fall, hit his head and lose consciousness.
The pair left towards the town centre before paramedics were called and found the victim with a large laceration to his head, as well as bruising and swelling on his face.
