Police clear up homeless camp

Police have helped clear a homeless camp set up right in the middle of Hanley. The encampment had been set up on Pall Mall. 

Officers say concerns over anti-social behaviour associated with the makeshift camp - set up next to large bins - had been raised by traders and residents. Now it's been cleared. 

A spokesperson for the local policing team said: "Another camp has been dismantled following calls from local businesses and residents over anti-social behaviour concerns in the town centre. With the aid of the environmental ambassador from Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District we will continue to dismantle the camps and disrupt anti-social behaviour."
