Police officer resigns before dismissal

Staffordshire Police said a former officer would have been dismissed had he not resigned.

As a result of an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Unit, it was found that former sergeant, Tim Rees, had a sexual relationship with a student officer on his team.

Rees, who was a sergeant in the south of the county, has been placed on the national College of Policing’s Barred List, preventing them from working within policing and other law enforcement bodies.
