Pothole blitz for roads
More than 26,000 road defects have been repaired in Staffordshire since the county council launched a two-year "pothole blitz", it has been revealed.
The Reform UK administration set out its "Roadmap to a Better Network" earlier this year, which included an aim to fix 40,000 potholes by the end of March 2027.
An extra £15m has been invested in highways over two years, specifically concentrating on lower-level potholes.
Money is also being used to fund more innovative ways of fixing potholes.
