Potters work on a new patch

A new community garden project will be transforming a plot of vacant Stoke-on-Trent land into a green space for local residents and wildlife.

The Potters' Patch aims to transform a currently underused plot on Bucknall New Road, Hanley, into a community asset featuring raised beds, fruit trees as well as opportunities for volunteering and community events.

Local residents are now being invited to attend the official launch event for the project tomorrow from 2pm to 5pm, which will feature free activities such as seed sowing and willow weaving.

The project has been developed by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in partnership with Groundwork West Midlands
