Professor celebrated 14 years after his death

The life of a professor and former Arts Council Secretary-General for England is being honoured in an exhibition, 14 years after his death.

Sir Roy Shaw, who served as Keele University's Director of Adult Education from 1962 to 1975, will be celebrated for his lifelong commitment to arts.

He was knighted in 1979 in recognition of his major contributions to adult education and helping shape national policies.

The exhibition will run at Keele University’s Chancellor's building until 28 October with a public lecture taking place this evening.
