Specialist school receives recognition

A Stoke-on-Trent specialist school has been recognised by the National Autistic Society.

Following a visit by assessors, Aurora Hanley School, in Eaves Lane, has been re-accredited with the Specialist Advanced Award, which recognises organisations that understand autism and set the standard for autism practice. 

Prior to Aurora Hanley's assessment, the school had to complete a comprehensive self-audit that included case studies, parent/pupil feedback and the creation of an action plan.
