Stoke on Trent Racing Driver takes title from pole position
Up-and-coming Stoke‑on‑Trent racing driver Revie Lake has made British GT history after converting pole position into victory at Donington Park.
The teenager and his teammate Blake Angliss delivered a highly disciplined and assured performance in the #84 McLaren Artura GT4, navigating challenging weather conditions and strong competition to claim their first British GT triumph.
Aged 16 years and 279 days, Revie became the second-youngest race winner in the championship’s history, and his is also believed to be the youngest driver to start a British GT race from pole position and go on to win it.
The British GT Championship is one of the UK’s most prestigious national racing series and features high-performance manufacturers including McLaren, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, BMW, Porsche and Ginetta.
