Suspended prison sentence for former police officer

A former Staffordshire police officer who admitted sexually assaulting colleagues has been given a suspended prison sentence.

36 year old Alex Trusler, who was a response officer had pleaded guilty in July to four counts of sexual assault against three women. He was suspended as soon as the allegations were reported and this week was given a 42-week prison term, suspended for 18 months as well as being barred from policing.
