Task group to unveil plans for Sandbach market

A task group is to unveil a plan for Sandbach indoor market's future ithis month

Sandbach's Friday indoor market could be in for a shake-up as town councillors look at its future and ways of making the books balance.

Members of Assets and Services committee considered a report about the market at a meeting earlier this month and the findings of the Market Task & Finish Group are set to be presented at a full council meeting this month.

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Sam Corcoran, said the current position highlighted that the Market Hall is a "resource-intensive service", both financially and in terms of officer time.
