Teenagers arrested following wildfire

Two teenagers have been arrested following a wildfire in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to land to the side of the A50 following reports of a fire in August. 

The fire spread rapidly and a number of houses were evacuated.

A 13-year-old boy from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property valued over £5,000.

A 14-year-old boy from the city has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

They have both been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
