Theatre stalwarts lead tributes to Woody
Theatre bosses have led the tributes to a stalwart 'loved by everyone' after he sadly passed away. Paul Wood had dedicated 25 years as the stage door keeper at Hanley's Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall.
In a tribute the side of the Regent was lit 'Tardis blue' as Paul, a talented writer, known affectionately as Woody was a big fan of Doctor Who.
Now tributes have been coming in for a man dubbed a 'much-loved part of the local theatre community’
For nearly 26 years, Woody was the first face you saw and the last you said goodbye to at the stage door. He was a much loved part of the local theatre community writing panto’s at the Mitchell Arts Centre helping bring so much laughter and fun to the stage each year and supporting Mike Lloyd and Music Mania with the Theatre Royal.
