Town mayor welcomes community to her civic parade today.

Congleton Mayor Cllr Suzy Firkin is inviting local organisations to join her Civic Parade and Service.

The town will come together today to celebrate the people who give their time, energy and commitment to serving their community.

This year’s Civic Service has a special focus on public service, recognising the contribution

made by the many volunteers, community groups, charities, organisations and individuals who help make Congleton a thriving and caring place to live.

The civic parade will assemble at Antrobus Street Car Park from 1.15 pm and set off at 1.30 pm, led by Rode Hall Silver Band. It will then make its way to Congleton Town Hall, where the Civic Service will begin at 2pm.
