Trees removed from fire site
Trees hit by fire during the massive Sandyford blaze are being removed. Contractors have been drafted in with work underway at Sandyford Park.
Leaders have described the scheme as an 'important part of the recovery effort' as the devastating scars of August's huge fire remain in the neighbourhood.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics had all been sent to the scene where a disposable BBQ lit in the park ended in a fire rampaging across homes with families evacuated.
Now Stoke-on-Trent City Council has confirmed trees hit by the blaze will continue to be removed today.
